The Scandinavian Research Council for Criminology (NSfK) provides financial support for travel and study trips (Guidelines § 9). Applications for travel and for study trip grants are normally reviewed by the Chairman of NSfK on an ongoing basis and according to the Guidelines for funding, approved by the Council. There are various maximum limits for chairman’s grants, depending on factors related to the purpose of the journey. Those applications for travel grants which exceed the maximum amounts must be reviewed by the Council.

Please note!! From 1.11.2016 onwards, all the applications for travel grants have to be submitted in an electronic application portal (either in Scandinavian languages or in English). Please find the link to the portal at the end of this webpage.

Grant reporting (before 1.11.2016): If you have received a travel grant from NSfK before 1.11.2016, please report the grant in the old way by using the reporting forms received in the same e-mail as the grant decision. It is required to do this within a month of completing a trip.

Grant reporting (after 1.11.2016): If you have received a travel grant from NSfK after 1.11.2016, please log in to the application portal (where you made the respective application for travel grant) and find the reporting forms under “Write report” section. It is required to do this within a month of completing a trip.

The guidelines for NSfK travel and research grants have been revised from 7.9.2016 onwards. Please read through the revised guidelines (menu in the left hand side) before applying!
