02 March 2011
June, 15-18, 2010, Professor Pär Anders Granhag, and the research group "Research unit for Criminal, Legal and Investigative Psychology" (CLIP), organized a scientific international conference named "The 20th conference of the European Association of Psychology and Law (EAPL)". The conference was held in the premises of Gothenburg School of Economics. The theme of the Conference was "Towards a positive legal psychology", and research that aimed at solving problems, preventing injuries and building competence in the field, was particularly put forward. In the context of this conference a small workgroup meeting “The 7th meeting of the Nordic Network for research on Psychology and Law (NNPL)” was held. The present grant application was inteded for this meeting. The NNPL-meeting of the Conference lasted four days and, thus, the NNPL participants could participate in the scientific program of the EAPL-Conference. This program offered a total of six keynote presentations, 30 sessions of oral presentations, and nine symposia with invited researchers. Within the framework of the NNPL meeting two sessions for oral presentations and four lectures of Nordic (Swedish-speaking) researchers were held (see pp. 28-29 and pp. 50-52 in the conference program). In addition, a poster session was held within the framework of NNPLs regime. This session offered wine and snacks and gave an opportunity for both scientific and social discussions between the participants. In total 64 posters were presented during this session.
