The Journal of Scandinavian Studies in Criminology and Crime Prevention seeks a new editor from January 1st 2010.
The journal is for Nordic researchers who wants to publish their research in English, and has two annual volumes. A third volume can be considered on special occasions.
The editor’s workload is comparable to 20 % of a full time position, which means one working day each week. The economic compensation is good.
The editor is responsible for doing evaluations of the submitted articles scientific quality, and to recruit external referees if that is considered necessary. This requires strong competence as a researcher, and a broad understanding of what good research in criminology and crime prevention is. Previous experience as an editor of journals or/and anthologies is considered to be an advantage.
The work as editor involves cooperation with the writers, referees, the publisher Taylor and Francis, NSfK and other partners that will support the journal financially from 2010.
