Emeli Lönnqvist is a PhD fellow at the Department of Criminology, Stockholm University. She has a master’s degree in criminology and has previously worked at the research unit at the Swedish Prison and Probation Service. In her dissertation, Lönnqvist studies the Swedish remand prison institution with a particular focus on the treatment of remand prisoners and their rights.
